Villa Pelau - Holiday Home
Pelau@guest
The house water comes from a well and is regularly tested. It is suitable for cooking if boiled, but not for direct consumption.
This house uses clean energy from renewable sources. Help protect the environment by using appliances mainly during sunny hours.
Do not use the dishwasher and oven at the same time to avoid power overload.

Before getting in: a shower at the outdoor shower next to the tub is required.
The warm water arrives after about a minute — wait for it, it's worth it. Sand, salt and sunscreen damage the filters and cloud the water; the shower keeps it crystal clear for you.
Do not use creams, oils or soaps in the tub: they damage the filters and water quality.

Hydromassage
Air (bubble effect): press Button 1, press again for the second speed.
Water (stronger jet): press Button 2, press again to turn off.
Heating
The tub heats automatically during the day to a preset temperature based on your preferences — message me if you'd like it hotter/cooler or a different mode. Heating is only active during the day, but the water naturally holds its temperature into the early evening.
⚠️ Do NOT touch controls not shown in the illustration, to avoid affecting the tub's operation.

Our 3 favourites

Light sand and the famous red rock stacks rising from the water. Shallow seabed — perfect for families and for your first swim of the stay.
One of Ogliastra's wildest beaches: white sand, turquoise water and Mediterranean scrub behind you. Reached via a short walk.
From July 15 to September 15, access to the beach is capped: booking through Heart of Sardinia is required (€3 adults, free for children).
A long stretch of fine sand with coves of smooth granite rocks. Facilities, kiosks and plenty of parking: the most convenient choice.
Climbs the mountain along the coast, touching several viewpoints over the sea. Follow the signs for "SA PERDA STAMPADA". Two options: challenging or short.
A rise slightly north of Sa Perda Stampada, with similar and equally spectacular coastal scenery.
A trail hugging the sea all the way to the foot of Pedra Longa, the towering sea rock that is the symbol of the Baunei coast.
⚠️ Booking required 3 days in advance ("Heart of Sardinia" app or WhatsApp, ~€7 per person). The most iconic beach on the coast — if you'd like to go, I'm happy to help you with the booking.
The town of Cannonau wine — the villa sits right among its vineyards. Wineries, sloping lanes and local heritage to discover
An art village at the foot of the Tacchi: Maria Lai's open-air artworks, the Stazione dell'Arte museum, the Su Marmuri cave and cliffs beloved by climbers.
The gateway to the coastal Supramonte: trails and boat trips depart from here towards the most famous coves (Goloritzè, Mariolu, Sisine).
Culurgiones (potato, pecorino and mint ravioli, sealed like an ear of wheat — the region's signature dish), porceddu (roast suckling pig), pane pistoccu flatbread, local cheeses and cured meats, seadas with honey to finish, and of course Cannonau di Jerzu wine: you are staying in the heart of its vineyards — the villa is surrounded by the very vines that produce it.
